Sardines in a Willow Basket

I've had an idea to make a basket of fish for some time.   Designed to look as though they've just been thrown into the handmade willow basket fresh from the fishing trip. The basket is made by  Maggie Smith artisan basket maker,  Northampton. .  These sardines are fixed in place and the basket can be hung on the wall or the tabletop. The sardines are individually made, glazed and Raku fired and silver leaf applied to the eyes- to give them that freshly caught look! These fish will never go smelly or rotten though!
